MISPLACED PRIORITIES

 

Most people fail to realize that the little actions they take today which they think; in their own individual altitude does not matter much, often have far-reaching consequences.

Much can be said of the attitude of teeming teenagers and most especially teenagers placing priorities on socials rather than impact their lives positively. More often than not, they engage in unproductive, time-wasting and off-the-focus activities which incurs more harm than good on their adolescent lives, the society in which such youths live in and the world at large.

Some of these prevalent, unhelpful, emotional, yet psychological engagements are: watching and/or viewing of pornographic pictures/videos, vices; participating in malicious gossips; Lesbianism; homosexuality; teenage cultism, to mention but a few. The effect of these abhorrent social vices can be so enormous that not only Addicts are affected, it  goes a long way frustrating the good aura of peace and love that our noble country (Nigeria) is in dire need of, at this period of time. The nefarious delinquent youths found in those discouraging acts almost-always seduce innocent ones in their immediate environment (home and school) in the frame of friends, neigbours, peer groups to themselves through flashy material items like money, luxury cars, even charms('Science' as its fondly called), etc

Still basking in that euphoria of misplaced priorities, their unrelenting part in acts of ‘networking on the internet, most evident is ‘facebooking’ as it is generally referred to, neglecting their individual, educational, moral developmental chores. Trading their academic performance for “chatting, updating and uploading Album pictures, all in the name of the craze for fame and the likes.

As the world is becoming more global, information becomes extremely easy to discharge to the world wide wibe.
 
These Social addicts, become so engrossed , mistakenly exposing very vital personal data to danger  which ordinarily should have been kept 'personal'.

 The comic (picture) above gives an insight into such misgivings.

Though, It is not a crime to be social, but should be put under 'moderation', so minors are not exposed to abuse, porn and the likes.

IF YOU MUST SOCIALIZE, Socialize with with a  reasonable amount of limit.
