CONDOLENCE TO DANA AIR CRASH VICTIMS

The setting of the Sun of Love

In the spirit of Love and with a deep sense of loss, we at Love's Den Initiative wish to show our unreserved condolence to the Victims of Dana Air Crash.

"...In a statement issued by National Labour Congress (NLC) President, Abdulwaheed Omar, they called on the Federal Government to put in place policies pegging the age of aircrafts operating in Nigerian airspace, lamenting that the crash could have been averted if the appropriate regulatory agencies were effective in their responsibilities.
“The aeroplane involved was alleged to have been faulty and this is said to have been to the knowledge of the management of the airline,” Omar said.

Well, after all these accusations and counter accusations, we will continue to pray to God to grant the families of victims; the fortitude and solace to bear the loss.

We therefore hope things will be put in the right place to avert future occurrence.

Decidedly, we do not want to display pictures of lost souls, as it will only bring back memories of PAIN.

As we   mourn the departed souls, we intentionally dedicate a Poem to the families of the crash victims

It goes thus:

  • Power to choose

Our hearts can be empty because they are gone
We can close our eyes and pray they return
We can cry from dusk till dawn
And reminisce on the event that had them gone

We can choose to forever grieve,
Close our mind and let pain live.
We can let sorrow steal our believe
And let hurt ruin our achieves.

We can even open our arms to self pity
We refuse to heal and thought-feed on the casualties,
    Embrace suicidal activities,
    That leads to more calamities.

    OR...

We can open our eyes and see what's left
We can heal and relieve the pains we felt
We can cherish their memory and let it live on
And share their love, smile and go on.

We can change our goodbyes to 'See you later'
Believing they've gone to a better place, we'll join later,
Where we will abound in heaven's spell
And sorrow will be a thing of Hell.

  1. Beautiful, but some lines in the poem need restructuring
