SHOWERS OF LOVE: THE WILLIAMS SISTERS

Hullo Denians! Love…Love…Love… our ever potent ‘chant’. Showing love all the way – indiscriminate, passionate shout of what we stand for
“L.O.V.E”  =    L- Longsuffering    O- Openness      V-Veracity  and   E-Empathy

The Williams' sisters with kids in Lagos, Nigeria.
Cheerfully, we are not relenting in our efforts to celebrate people who go all the way to show love to the less privileged, abused, disaster-stricken, etc in the society and the world at large. That is Humanitarians, Philanthropists, etc

Momentarily the “Williams Sisters” (Serena and Venus) caught our collective attention here in the House of Love.

This twin tennis icons came to Nigeria - all the way from far-away United States of America to shower love on kids in Nigeria. This is truly legendary, judging from their tight schedules, distance covered and huge amount of money invested in carrying out this humanitarian activity.

As evident herein, few pictures speak volume of t 'what their mission' on the African soil is .

Few excerpts showing how they felt:
Venus said: "It is so exciting and amazing that I am here in Nigeria for the first time and especially helping young girls achieve greatness in future".
Younger sister, Serena - "I am proud to be part of the great journey to this great country to support the country and encourage young girls to be great.”

In motivating the kids, Serena charged the kids, making this powerful statement “Let no one tell you that you’re not good enough, or that you do not have what it takes to succeed in whatever discipline, not only sports, that is your choice.”

Also, charging further, they  jointly assert that”
without the doggedness of our parents who turned deaf ears to many skeptics who said there was no way we could make it in a white-dominated sport, especially with our dad’s single-minded approach to training us, we would not be where we are today.

In clearer terms, one can draw motivation from this, to achieve set goals in life, no matter the condition, criticism surrounding the start-up time.

More importantly, if everyone can at least show love as little as we can in our own immediate community, the world will be a more comfortable place for all and sundry.

Let the spring of love continue to flow from the depth of our hearts, devoid of any form of discrimination as against race, colour, sex, religion, the list goes on.
